Mediating Conflicts at Work (2 days)

This is a basic entry level workshop designed to equip people to conduct in-house mediations at work, whether they be shuttle mediation, direct mediation or round-table mediation. It is skills based and theoretical. Attendees will be provided with the opportunity to develop their skills and to facilitate a process of conflict resolution.

  • Approaches to conflict
  • Mapping conflicts and understanding the elements in a conflict
  • Role theory in relation to conflict
  • Addressing power in conflict
  • Using high level listening skills
  • Coaching people to speak clearly
  • The role of a mediator and the skills required to perform this role.
  • Mediative processes including direct, shuttle and roundtable mediation.
Time: Two full days (8.30am - 4.30pm)
